After completing his B.Tech in Textile Technology in 2019, Mr.Singh identified a major digital gap in small towns like Peppeganj and Gorakhpur. Despite coming from a non-IT background, he was determined to bring digital solutions to local businesses and educational institutions.
Career Shift During COVID & Beginning of Market Research
The COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point. Seeing software engineers working safely from home inspired Yogesh to switch careers. He began studying modern web development, understanding digital needs of local businesses, and surveying schools, NGOs, and shops in Peppeganj & Gorakhpur. This year laid the foundation of what would later become Gorakhpur Website Wala.
Learning, Freelancing & First Clients
Yogesh started his journey from scratch, learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React & Next.js, Tailwind, MUI, jQuery, SEO, website optimization, and Contentful CMS. He built his initial portfolio by helping small businesses, local schools, NGOs, and shop owners. This phase gave him practical experience and confidence.
Digital Awareness in Local Market
During discussions with school principals, NGO members, and shopkeepers, Yogesh realized that most people didn't know the importance of a website, many were overcharged or misled by outsiders, and there was zero awareness about online branding and SEO. So he personally met organisations to guide them on digital growth, branding, and business expansion.
Udyam Registration & Official Business Launch
Gorakhpur Website Wala was officially registered under Udyam (Government of India) to provide Website Development, School/NGO websites, Business & portfolio websites, E-commerce development, SEO & digital marketing, and Website maintenance & support. This marked the professional beginning of the company.
Expansion of Technical Expertise
Yogesh upgraded his skill-set by working on Hospital Management System (HMS), Queue Management System, Medical Record solutions, Booking portals for pets, Custom React dashboards, and Next.js 14 App Router projects. This helped position him as a technically strong frontend engineer.
